City officials have reached a preliminary agreement on incentives for development at I-69 and Ind. 238 – the site of a proposed interchange intended to spur growth of a major planned business campus in Noblesville.

Chris Hamm, the city’s economic development director, announced during the City Council’s meeting this week that the agreement proposes a tax increment financing (TIF) district to finance infrastructure improvements to enhance the Exit 10 area.

As part of corporate campus designs for the exit near Olio Road, 146th Street would extend east and tie up with a sweeping interchange at Ind. 238. The interchange would anchor the eastern edge of the campus, surrounded by a mix of office and industrial space, along with housing and retail development.

Mayor Dennis R. Redick characterized the economic development package as “the first major building block” in constructing an expanded interchange as a foundation for campus development.
