Joe Primanti began Primanti Bros. in 1933 as a food cart in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eventually the demand for his sandwiches was greater than his food cart could handle. His response was to open a storefront with his brothers and their nephew. They continued to sell the sandwiches that were such a hit with truckers passing by his cart.
Now Primanti Bros. has expanded beyond Pennsylvania, with locations in Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. Their first Indiana location, in Noblesville, had its Grand Opening on May 18th, 2016.
Primanti Bros. is renowned for its “Almost Famous” sandwich. This sandwich is made with tomato slices, sweet and sour vinegar coleslaw, fresh-cut fries, provolone cheese, and your choice of grilled meat on fresh Italian bread. However, Primanti Bros. has a range of fantastic food beyond their trademark sandwich. They offer more traditional burgers and sandwiches, pizza, wings, and more. The bread served at Primanti Bros. is made daily in the restaurant just like the fries. To quote an employee, “The fries are so fresh they were potatoes this morning!”
Experience the mouthwatering food, the adult spirits, and the unique all-American atmosphere of Primanti Bros with its good old-fashioned friendliness. Whether you dine in or carry-out Primanti Bros. is serving up delicious food with an authentic flair.
