Bloomington-based sculptor and artist Dale Enochs was selected to have his work featured in a planned park in Saxony, a new urbanism development that straddles Interstate 69 in Fishers and Noblesville.

Republic Development Corp., the lead developer of Saxony, set a target date of Spring 2008 to unveil Enochs’ piece in the development’s planned park and recreational area near Saxony’s residential and commercial districts.

Enochs has public works exhibited throughout Indiana and the United States as well as Canada, Japan, and China. His web site is www.daleenochs.com.

Enochs, along with six other artists, responded to a request for proposal earlier this year. The artists were asked to conceptualize, fabricate, and install a signature piece of public sculpture in Saxony which compliments Saxony’s moniker, “Where Life is in Rhythm.”

Republic teamed with a panel of judges from local museums, arts organizations and design firms to choose the winner.
